Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was scarcely thirty years old, and already he was at the time regarded as one of the "best German prose writers and poets." In Karlsruhe (in AD Gottlieb Schmieder) Goethe's early work in 1778 was published:

I have absolute respect for the translator, discreetly on p. 105 his own opinion about the proclaims this work. Everywhere else is right above the "C" and the "H" for this "play" ...
