addition to "Silent Night, Holy Night" is hardly a Christmas song that has the world seen such a victory like in 1847 composed " Cantique de Noël " by Adolphe Adam (1803 - 1856).
There are some wonderful recordings - from Enrico Caruso (1916, in French) about Jussi Björling and Sissel Kyrkjebjø ("O Helga Natt" in Swedish) to LeAnn Rimes and Mariah Carey ("Oh Holy Night" in English).
